Forbes Loves St Augustine

Did you see this? St Augustine does it again – this time in Forbes.(Images courtesy of Glowimages Glow Images / Newscom)

This April, Forbes named the Old City one of America's 10 prettiest towns! Way to go Steve!

While there are several western US towns on the list, 2 in the desert; the others on the east coast – not the in Puerto Rico (do they count as American? I guess so.) - I’m please to see the company St Augustine has on this top 10 list.

Newport, who would not want to be on a list with the jewel of long island sound, Tarrytown NY jewel of the Hudson river and home of Lyndhurst House (A must tour home), and Key West jewel of the… you get the idea. Out of all the lists you can end-up on, that’s the list you want to be on.(Images courtesy of Glowimages Glow Images / Newscom)

Funny thing is, Henry Flager built his grand hotel, the Ponce de Leon, in St Augustine in hopes to make St Augustine the, “Newport of the south”. But after a couple cold winters he took his railroad further south to Palm Beach, (Booya!) and eventually laying track all the way to… Key West 100 years ago this year… Wow, way to go pulling the story all together.

Anyway, this is just another official statement of why you need to book your roome now at the Inn on Charlotte and see one of the 10 prettiest towns in America; one of the 9 prettiest towns in the USA; one of the 2 prettiest towns in Florida, according to Foerbes.com
