Florida Heritage Book Festival Special

Inn on Charlotte offers a special for Florida Heritage Book Festival goers.

If there has been one unique and singular character that stands out in the literary world in the past 10 years, it has got to be Dexter. I fell in love with the concept when I first heard about a serial killer – as the good guy. But I went head-over-heels when I saw the Cinemax cable TV production of this regular guy, with a hobby of killing bad guys in his special flare, while at the same time avoiding being caught by his detective sister & co-workers.

Jeff Lindsay, author of Dexter, will be delivering the Keynote Address this year’s Florida Heritage Book Festival (FHBF) taking place Wednesday September 13th. St Augustine is host to the festival each year and this year there is more. Not only the creator of Dexter Mr. Lindsay, but his wife will be joining him too.
Hilary Hemingway, Niece of Ernest and award-winning screen writer in her own right, will be attending to accept a posthumous award (Literary Legend Award for Lifetime Achievement) for her uncle at a banquet Friday night September the 14th.

While the festival runs through Friday, Hilary will preside over a ‘free day of literary events’ at Ringhaver Student Center on Saturday September the 15th. Read all about it, here at St Augustine Record or better yet, go directly to the festival’s web site here.

Please book your romantic Bed and Breakfast stay at The Inn on Charlotte today. And to help you enjoy the event, the Inn on Charlotte is running a special during the Festival, the offer:
