Reading on Inns of Elegance website, and seeing flyers around town, we see there’s a new place for bed and breakfasts guests to experience life in St Augustine over the centuries, The Colonial Quarter.
This is the brain-child of Pat Croce, owner of St Augustine’s Pirate & Treasure museum. There is no one better to hand the history of St Augustine to, then Mr. Croce. He has created a premier museum for his collection of pirate artifacts, now he’s taking historic interpretation of life in St Augustine through the centuries, to a new level.
What to do in St Augustine has now been answered, visit the Colonial Quarter, is the answer. With 2 pubs on site, the first Spanish, and the other, appropriately British, a 65 foot watch-tower to see what they would have seen then, and several live historic-interpreters showing guests how weapons of the time work, as well as leather and metal workers.
So come see the Colonial Quarter and stay at the bed and breakfast inn on charlotte, to experience St Augustine to its fullest. See you here soon.
